We are located on Galveston Island on the Texas Gulf Coast. We border Offatt's Bayou and are less than a mile from the beach.

Moody Gardens is a non-profit, educational facility. There is a 3-D Imax theater, a paddlewheeler boat, a white sand beach, a spa at the hotel, three pyramids, a Vietnam memorial, and beautifully landscaped grounds.

Moody Gardens began in 1986 with a horse riding arena to utilize hippotherapy for people with head injuries. Today, we provide horticultural therapy, education and employment for people with a wide range of emotional and physical disabilities.
